Official Ubuntu Developer Summit Raring Ringtail (UDS-R) Group Photo and Personal Photo Set
This time around, Ubuntu Developer Summit Raring Ringtail (UDS-R) took place at Bella Center, Copenhagen, Denmark, EU (29th Oct – 1st Nov 2012).
Those of you in the UDS-R group photo must have been quite disappointed this time around! Instead of having to climb precarious ladders, or hang out of third-story windows to get the shot, I had a nice stable balcony to stand on! Truth be told, while my cohort Brian Chidester was taping the boundaries, he was trying to convince me to shoot from the tree for sheer comedy value. No luck. Maybe next time.

About the Shot
My shiny new Canon EOS M was still preordered, and didn't arrive in time for the event, so my kit was basically the same as Budapest, Orlando, and Oakland — shot with my workhorse Canon EF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM mounted on the Canon EOS-1D Mark IV. Unfortunately, the poor group photo lighting meant shooting relatively high ISOs, so there's quite a bit of noise on the originals.
Flash photography in the rest of the gallery was lit by Canon Speedlite 580EX II units, with a few shots here and there using my Canon EF 40mm f/2.8 STM pancake.
